How Do I Fix Slow Printing With an Epson TM Serial Printer?
- 1). Open your Printer Preferences by clicking the "Start" button on the taskbar. Click "Control Panel" and then select "Printers and Other Hardware." Then select the "Printers and Faxes" option. Select your Epson TM printer from the printers listed. Click "File" on the toolbar and then click "Preferences."
- 2). Select the "Utility" tab. Load paper into the paper tray and turn on the printer. Make sure all connections between the printer and computer are secure. Select the "Epson Status Monitor" option, which will assist in checking the ink levels and look for any errors that the printer might be experiencing. Follow any instructions that the Status Monitor suggests. Only select one utility maintenance option at a time.
- 3). Select the "Nozzle Check" button from the displayed menu. This option will prompt the printer to check the cartridge nozzles for any clogs or obstructions that might be slowing the print process or disrupting flow. - 5). Select the "Print Head Alignment" option. Follow the prompts to realign the heads to enable straighter cartridge printing. This will help adjust any skipping or shifted lines that appear during printing.
- 6). Select the "Epson LFP Remote Panel" option. This utility will run a diagnostics program to help discover what issues your printer might be experiencing. Follow any prompts that this utility yields to optimize overall performance.
