Tracking Employee And Attendance

102 16
When you employ staff it is your job to manage them and to ensure that they help to keep your business profitable and to ensure that they are earning their salary. In other words every member of staff is essentially an investment you pay them to come into work but the essential goal of this is to earn more money than you pay them as a result.

This then means that it is very important to record accurately their time and attendance and this way you can ensure that you don't pay them for work that hasn't been accomplished. The best way to do this is with time clocks which today can be digital and even handled online so that they can measure work hours accomplished at home and so that they can't be duped (some even use biometric data).

There are many reasons that using this is important. Let's imagine that they work for 20 hours in a week, but that you don't have time clocks systems in place. You could then find yourself paying them for more hours' work meaning that the profit margin is less you are essentially paying for something that you didn't get and that means that when you sell on their work, you won't get enough profit to cover them.

This is a way that money can seep out of your company and make a big difference to your overall profit margin and it's why it's so important to use time clocks and to record time and attendance the best way. At the same time though there are other implication that come from using the best time clocks and time and attendance systems. For instance by paying in a more efficient manner you can provide staff and customers with a very good incentive to stay on and to do more work rather than to go home early as soon as they've finished. This way they will want to stay and push your business further and keep your clients happier by getting tasks done sooner. It also means that you will be able to make sure that the most conscientious staff are rewarded more than those happy to try and get off early. Further, this allows you to keep a record of their performance and thereby to reward to hardest workers in other ways too. It also means that you avoid the difficult situation that can arise where you underpay your staff and this can mean that you don't have any disgruntled and unmotivated employees as a result.

As mentioned the best system for time and attendance records is to use time clocks. These can be turned on and then off in order to capture the amount of precise hours that the staff member spent in your office. When these time clocks are digital this information can be stored and then calculated automatically, meaning that no one needs to manually count up the hours at the end of the month which is a painstaking, laborious and time consuming task. By using the best time clocks then you can also save yourself time in this method and thereby improve your overall productivity.
