    • 1). Plug the Cuisinart DCC-1200 into a working power outlet if the machine is not working. Turn the function knob to “Brew” and the power switch to “On” if the coffee maker has power and has been filled with water and coffee grounds but is not producing coffee.

    • 2). Avoid using more than 15 tablespoons ground coffee in the filter basket and do not remove the carafe for more than 30 seconds while brewing if water overflows from the coffee machine.

    • 3). Turn the coffee maker “Off,” lift up the reservoir cover and remove any used filters and coffee if the coffee is brewing slowly or not at all. Wash the filter basket with warm, soapy water and rinse well. Wipe the dispenser with a clean, damp cloth to remove any coffee grounds or other debris that may be obstructing the coffee flow.

    • 4). Allow the coffee to finish brewing completely and do not remove the carafe to pour coffee during brewing if you've found the coffee tastes different or does not taste as good. Stir the coffee before drinking to mix well.

    • 5). Fill the water reservoir with 1/3 part white vinegar and 2/3 part water if the “Self Clean” light comes on. Push “Self Clean” and turn the switch to “On.” Repeat the process if the “Self Clean” light continues to flash after the cleaning process is complete. Run one cycle with cold water through the machine before using the coffee maker for coffee.
