Serious there are games that can be played by yourself.
Or go to a gaming website, log in and you may be playing checkers with a person in New Zealand! 3.
Do you like to read? Now's a great time to read those classics you always wanted to read.
You know books like: To Kill a Mocking Bird, A Catcher in the Rye, The Grapes of Wrath, The Old Man and the Sea, The Great Gatsby, The Call of the Wild, War and Peace.
Your library will have these on the shelf just waiting for you to take home and enjoy.

Listen to books on CD.
Sometimes it's easier to listen to a book than to read, very relaxing.
Again available at your library.

Movies: Check out the selection at the library.
Okay enough of the library, but it really is a good source for free entertainment.

Start a blog.
Talk about your surgery and recovery.
Become a Twitter or sign up for Facebook.
You'll be amazed at how many of your friends are already on.

Sort out those old photos.
Start a scrapbook and record all those great family memories.
8.
Become the family historian.
Contact your oldest relative and ask them what they remember about growing up.
Who were the parents, grandparents, you'll have fun and your relative will love the chat.
9.
Find a cause.
What are you passionate about? The environment, politics, feeding the homeless, education find a cause go online and join up.
10.
Plan for the future: Plan a vacation, plan for retirement, house make over, new exercise/diet program and/or hobby.
Making plans for the future when you have recovered from back surgery will help you stay motivated.
