Companies Should Allow Employees to Pay a Lump Sum Fee to Be Laid Off Last!

103 5
Companies should be allowed to accept payments from employees who wish to be laid off last.
And they should be able to use that money to help capitalize their business, rather than going to the bank for loans during a recession.
After all, it is fair for employees to get together and unions or groups and negotiate labor contracts, then in nonunion companies they should be allowed to accept personal contracts from each individual employee.
This way the employees can bid on who gets to stay there, and who gets laid off first.
Now then, one might say that a very good employee who doesn't want to pay will get laid off first, and a very lousy and lazy employee who doesn't work very hard can merely pay a lump fee of $10,000, and keep their job for the next year.
However, business owners are smarter than that, and they will have a metric, and the ratio of productivity for each individual worker based on their salary, and they will know their exact costs, so it'll be a trade-off in their mind.
But, that metric is the true value of an employee, and an employer should be able to get rid of workers that don't work very hard or provide very much productivity, and keep the best workers for last, or if a lazy worker wants to pay the difference, they should be able to and the business owner can decide if it makes sense for the employee to be fired or not on the first round of layoffs.
Now, I can hear the union representatives yelling and screaming at this suggestion.
But I believe labor markets should be beholden to the same free-market principles that I as an employer am beholden to when I compete in the marketplace.
It's only fair.
Now you may disagree with me, but I'm not a politically correct person, I am a founder of a franchising Corporation, I built from scratch, and I really don't care what you think.
You see, if you work for me I call the shots, I am running the company, and I am making the payroll.
You see, we have far too many Democratic politicians, who believe in socialist views, and are trying to tell businesses how to run their business.
And the reality is many of these folks who are in office have never had to make a payroll, they clearly don't understand the other side of the fence, but they claim to be wiser than all the business people - that's just baloney and nonsense, and yes, I'll be glad to have an IQ contest.
The other day I visited a small strip center in my community, and there were three empty stores where companies had gone out of business.
But there were seven stores remaining.
I would have voted for any one of those business owners in any of those seven stores before I'd ever have voted for our present president.
Indeed, if you think about that for a minute you will understand, because if you're an employee you need to do whatever you can to keep your job, you need to work hard, and you need to help that company make a profit.
If you're not on the team, and in it to win it, you don't deserve a job period.
Thus, you can either work hard or pay the difference to keep your job, us employers don't owe you anything.
It's a business deal, you work, you get paid.
Otherwise; See Ya!
