Wedding Favors: How to Decorate Bubble Wands
- 1). Choose ribbon that matches your wedding colors; cut the ribbon into 4-inch pieces. The most practical ribbon to use is about 3/8 inch wide so it will easily slide through the loop in the top of the wand. Choose many shades of a color that is part of your wedding palette.
- 2). Trim the ribbon ends to a diagonal slant on each end of the ribbon.
- 3). Run the lighter, while lit, along the ends of the ribbon. This will seal the ribbon ends so they do not fray.
- 4). Slide the ribbon through the loop hole at the top of the bubble wand until the ribbon is centered in the hole. This will be the end of the wand that is not used for blowing bubbles.
- 5). Tie a knot in the ribbon around the loop in the bubble wand and pull tightly.
- 6). To dress up your bubble containers, cut strips of patterned scrapbooking paper and wrap them around the outside of the jars. Use adhesive to secure the paper to the container. You can also use stickers or custom labels containing your names and wedding date.
