Moisture Control

• The Miracle-Gro Moisture Control Potting Soil ensures that you don't over or under-water your container plants. When you water your plants, the soil holds the excess moisture and only releases the water when the plants need it. It also comes with six months of plant food, including the Miracle-Gro trademarked MicroMax plant food. This soil is available in sizes ranging from 8 quart to 64 quart.
  
  

Specialty

• Certain plants require special food and nutrients. Miracle-Gro has a series of potting soils for specialty gardens, including orchid, cactus, citrus and African Violets. For example, the Miracle-Gro Cactus, Palm and Citrus Soil potting mix comes in 8 quart bags. This soil drains fast so the water doesn't damage the plant roots, and it comes with fertilizer specifically for these types of plants. The Miracle-Gro African Violet Potting Mix features soil that is slightly acidic since African Violets thrive in this type of soil. The soil also contains perlite and sphagnum peat moss, and it only comes in 8 quart bags.
