How to Knit a Reversible Striped Scarf
- 1). Cast on 53 stitches with one yarn; this is color A.
- 2). Slip the first stitch. This is the right side. Knit one stitch and purl one stitch. Repeat this ribbing pattern across the row. Turn the work.
- 3). Slip the first stitch. Knit one stitch and purl the next one. Repeat across the row. Turn the work.
- 4). Change to the other yarn; this is color B. Slip the first stitch and repeat the ribbing stitch across. Turn the work.
- 5). Slip the first stitch, the continue with the ribbing stitch to the end. Turn the work.
- 6). Continue in this manner, changing yarn on every right side row, slipping the first stitch of every row, and following the 1-by-1 ribbing stitch. When the scarf is long enough, or you run out of yarn, bind off.
- 7). Weave in the ends with the tapestry needle.
