Here is a valueable lesson I learned about how to get my wife to make me her whole world.

My wife is about a month away from giving birth to our third child.  As all mothers know, this isn't the most comfortable time in a pregnacy.  She still, though, is devoted to tending to the needs of our other two children and myself.

She ask me one day what I wanted for lunch.  I told her I would let her know when I got back from town.  While I was in town I stopped at a Mexican restaurant and got a take out lunch for us both.  I also stopped at Sonic and got her favorite flavor drink.  As I had suspected, the kids where down for a nap when I got home.  My wife was sitting in the chair when I came in and I made a comment on how seeing her made me feel inside. 

We sat down to eat and enjoyed some special time together.  As we where sitting there my made this statement that really made me feel special.  "I think you should do a workshop on 'How to treat your wife'" is what she said.

The reason that was so special to me is because I knew I had not been the best husband in the world.  I knew that there had been times when I had not been very sensitive to her needs or been understanding in areas where she struggled.  I thought of all the times I was aggatated and let it show.

However, she had the ability to zoom in on that one special moment in our life, crop out everything else and make that one moment her whole world.

Only a woman who knows how to love can do that.

Here is what I learned from the whole thing.  I can change my world by frequently creating those special moments that her heart can capture.  Those special moments are what she is wanting her world to consist of and I wouldn't want to pass up an opportunity to be a part of her world.
