How to Store an iPod Cord

104 25
    • 1). Wrap into a large loop approximately 5 inches in diameter. Place the end of your iPod cord between your index and middle finger and wrap the remaining cord around your fingers (excluding your thumb). Slide the loop of cord off of your finger when you reach the end.

    • 2). Twist the cord in the middle to create a figure-eight shape and slip the zip tie around the middle. Tighten the tie as far as it will go. Trim the excess off of the end. Substitute an elastic hair tie or rubber band for the zip tie if you plan on using the cord often. Slip the hair tie over the cord, stretch it out and make several passes to secure it.

    • 3). Double check the iPod cord for any creases that might indicate damage. Store the cord in a dry, safe spot such as a drawer or padded compartment of a computer bag. When you are ready to use the cord again, carefully remove the zip tie using scissors.
