Many people around the world search endlessly for the correct way to lose weight and keep it off. But they are searching for a magic formula which does not exist. This does not mean you can't lose weight, of course you can many people have done it and do it every day. They did not find the magic formula, they followed procedures and rules. Losing weight requires discipline, self control and sacrifice. We can give you the guide lines to lose weight but only you will decide if you will follow them. These rules do not allow flexibility, they must be followed strictly. If you do we are sure you will lose weight and feel much better with yourself both physically and spiritually.

People say they need to lose weight and fat around the belly, or the legs or anywhere else. It does not work like that; losing weight in only specific parts of the body is not possible. Weight is lost uniformly all over the body.

To be able to lose the extra weight you have on your belly, you must lose all around weight. It is impossible to pinpoint a specific area of the body. Fat deposits are distributed all over the body and are a part of it. When you lose fat from a specific area the body will compensate by moving fat from somewhere else to cover the lost fat. The human body is a very delicate equilibrium which is kept by the body itself, change must be total and not by sections.

Diets are designed to reduce the intake of fat and calories so your body will be forced to burn the fat it has stored. But this fat is stored everywhere, not only on the belly. It is impossible to lose weight and fat around the belly without losing it elsewhere. The belly is also used by the body to store saturated fats which are harder to digest. This is the reason why it is so hard to lose the fat around the belly, it is mostly made up of saturated fats which the body has stored and saved for times when there is nothing else available for food. To get rid of this fat you must first reduce drastically your intake of saturated fats. Once this is done and you are consuming fewer calories than you need to burn, your body will start using the accumulated fat for energy.

An adult needs to ingest a maximum of 3500 calories when he or she lives an active life which includes a certain amount of exercise. If they have sedentary lives 3000 calories per day will keep them healthy and active. Anything over this will be stored as fat by the body. To lose weight it is necessary to eat fewer calories than the above mentioned so the body will need to use the stored fat for food. You must cut down and if possible avoid saturated fats completely. These include, but are not exclusive to dairy products, junk food, candies, ice cream, cakes, fatty meats and processes food. It is important that you eat fish, nuts, food which has high contents of fiber and use unsaturated oils to cook and prepare meals, sunflower oil is an example of this.

A diet does not have to be made by a professional. If you use and consider the healthy food pyramid which your children study in school you will have all the information you need for a healthy diet. It is not necessary to starve, what you have to do is to eat wisely and avoid all the foods that contain saturated fats and excessive amounts of carbohydrates. It is basically common sense, eat three good, healthy meals per day, and stay away from sweets and saturated fats. Eat slowly and chew your food, enjoy the flavors and taste, do not gobble up your food. Do not serve yourself more than one helping and make this one reasonable. Do this and the weight is sure to come off, you will not notice it immediately but we are sure in a couple of weeks you will notice the change in your clothes and general well being.
