How to Repair a Leaky Poured Concrete Wall

104 13
    • 1). Prepare the wall for the polyurethane injection. Place injection ports inside the leaking cracks. Space them at least 1 inch apart.

    • 2). Cover the cracked surface with epoxy, but do not fill the cracks with the epoxy. Apply a light coating of the epoxy adhesive over the concrete surface, using the trowel.

    • 3). Fill the cracks with polyurethane foam. Place the injector nozzle into the port and begin to fill it with foam. The foam will travel through the cracks and expand to fill the cracks completely in order to prevent water from leaking.

    • 4). Allow 24 hours for the foam to harden inside the wall.

    • 5). Remove the ports. Use the hammer to gently tap the sides of the ports in different directions until they are loose enough to pull out of the wall. Pull them out to complete the project.
