Your cat might not be as active as you might like.
If you are worried about the health of your cat due to being too lazy, find out the steps you can take to help your cat be more active again.
There are many cat owners who are used to having a cat that just doesn't seem to be too active at all.
This can be a problem since your pet will just lie around the house all day and not seem to be doing that much.
As your cat gets older, you might start to be concerned about the effect of the inactivity on your cat as he or she is getting older.
There are some changes that you can make that will help your cat be more active.
Your cat might need more attention.
He or she might be a bit more active when you aren't around but is not in the mood to play with you as you don't have that connection anymore.
You will need to start playing with your cat more.
This should happen slowly as cats don't like sudden big changes.
Buy your cat new toys.
He or she might be bored with what is already there to play it.
Find something that is new to the cat that they will be able to play with.
This helps the cat become interested again and move around more.
Change the food that your cat is eating or the amount they get.
Sometimes getting too much food is bad for your cat and makes them lazy.
Some aren't getting enough nutrients.
This hurts the energy that they could be having.
Get a cat harness and go for a walk.
Most cats don't like this that much, but it might be needed.
If your pet refuses to play or be more active you might have to make them do this.
A harness works best on cats as dog leashes don't work so well.
Medical issues might be causing a problem for your cat.
If sick or with a paw or leg problem, your cat might not want to be active.
The vet should take a look at your pet to suggest how to fix the problem.
