Directions for Seed Beading a Cabachon
- 1). String seed beads on the thread by picking up six beads at a time with the needle, until you have enough beads to comfortably encircle the cabochon.
- 2). Pass the beading needle through the first seed bead strung to secure the circle, completing the first circular row of seed beading.
- 3). String six beads on the needle and pass the needle through the sixth bead in the first row. Continue to add six beads at a time, passing the needle through every sixth bead of the first circle to complete the second row of seed beading.
- 4). String six beads on the needle to begin the third row of beading. Add three beads at a time, entering each third bead of the second row to connect the third row. Pull the thread snugly.
- 5). Add beaded netting to the back of the cabochon by adding additional rows of seed beads secured by passing through the sixth bead of the previous row. Secure the final row with a square knot passing through the last bead and a drop of glue.
