How to Manage English Ivy
- 1). Cut the unwanted vines down. Especially cut down vines that have wrapped around trees or shrubs.
- 2). Add 25 percent glyphosate solution to water in a spray bottle.
- 3). Spray the solution on the cut vine stems. This will curb growth for that season.
- 4). Cut back the vines once a year. The ideal time to trim the ivy is during mild days in the winter when the plant is dormant or in early spring.
