How to Troubleshoot Air Tan Guns

    • 1). Check to ensure the gun is still spraying. For spotty or stunted sprays, make sure the trigger is not being compressed completely (press the trigger only half way down when spraying). Check the air compressor to ensure a sufficient amount of air is being pushed into the gun. If the gauge on the compressor reads less than 20 percent, turn the main nozzle to allow more air.

    • 2). Make sure there is liquid tan in the air gun. Clean or replace the tip of the gun if it does not spray. Unscrew the air cap and set it aside. Pull the tip out of the air gun body. Clean it with a paper towel by brushing the towel over the edge of the tip. If the tip is damaged, replace it. Place the clean or new tip into the body and screw the air cap back on tightly.

    • 3). Check the compressor if there is no air flow at all. Ensure the compressor is plugged in. Turn the nozzle on the compressor to "High" or "10" on some models. Ensure the hose is tightly secured on both the compressor and the gun.
