Mt... That" s Me!

I have always wanted to be in the medical field. From the time I was a senior in high school, I knew it was my calling. Where in the medical field? Now that is a different story. At first I thought diagnostic medical sonography. I looked into different schools but never made the jump. Then I thought radiology which would eventually lead me back to sonography. I was accepted into the University of South Alabama's Radiology program. I was so excited and just knew this was where I was supposed to be! Boy was I wrong! After being in the program a couple of months I knew I wanted out. I was disappointed in myself but at the same time, knew that I was doing the right thing. Since then, I have worked in a pain management doctors office as a receptionist and billing and medical record jobs. I have also worked in a dentist office at the front desk and as a dental assistant. Even though I enjoyed different things about these jobs, I had yet to find my place. My mother is the one who suggested medical transcription at home to me.
We got to talking about it, I did some research on it, and I am looking forward to starting my new career! I want to become a medical transcriptionist because I want to be in the medical field, help the doctors, and help the patients. One thing I liked doing as a receptionist was dealing with the patient's medical records. It was important to the doctor's and it was important to me. I loved knowing I was contributing to making a difference in lives of others. One of the main advantages of being a medical transcriptionist that will benefit me is the fact that I can work from home. My husband works for a power company. With his job, he knows that he could be transferred to anywhere at any time. Being an MT from home will allow me to pack up my job and take it with me. I am also looking forward to the time this will allow me to spend with my family, especially when we begin to have kids of our own. SN:0TG9Y2ESY
FutureMT was one of the first websites I came across when looking for a online training course. I have researched the other online training courses and I keep coming back to FutureMT. Not only is the price better than the other programs, but the live mentoring will be a huge help when in the course. If I have a question or concern, I know that I can get help at any time. I also appreciate the list of MT companies that will be hiring that FutureMT will provide and the fact that all students should be able to find a job within 60 days of completing the program. With the economy the way it is, it is a comfort to know that MT is in high demand and jobs are available. After a few years down the road in medical transcription, I would love to have my own business. I would love to hire people to work for me and to help them advance in their careers as an MT. I am going to strive to be the best medical transcriptionist that I can be! I want doctor's to know me and to know I put 100% into my work. I am looking forward to beginning my training course as well as my future as a MT!
