Wedding Photography - It"s All About the Little Extras!

103 39
As with everything wedding related, there are so many little decisions to make once you have settled on a wedding photographer.
It's important to choose a photographer with lots of experience, a friendly manner and a variety of packages to choose from...
as well as a selection of little extras that can make the experience even more memorable.
For the day itself you can opt for the most basic package including reportage style photography of the ceremony and the usual formal photography session afterwards, or go all out and have a photographer with you recording events from the bride's pre-wedding preparations right through the ceremony until the moment you sit down for your wedding breakfast.
Whatever package you choose, a good wedding photographer always aims to take a wide variety of photographs, including reportage, journalistic and candid style shots that capture the atmosphere of your wedding, your choice of formal poses with family and friends, and, of course, romantic poses of the bride and groom.
Ideally you want to have a good selection of pictures to choose from when you sit down to plan your photo album or framed prints.
What happens next? It is easy to be so focused on the day itself that you forget about what comes after, but when choosing your wedding photographer you really need to think about how you want to remember your day.
Do you want a beautiful wedding album to flick through, or do you dream of a big romantic print on canvas for your wall? Perhaps in this digital age you would prefer a copyright free CD with all your wedding photographs on.
All these decisions will influence the package you choose...
as will whether or not you want thank you cards included.
Some things can often be added after the wedding, but some do need to be decided on in advance.
Any time spare before the wedding? As well as afterwards, there are also the extras you can have before the wedding to consider! Many people now have a signature book or board that all the guests can sign on the day, so a pre-wedding photo shoot to provide the backdrop for this would be a lovely touch.
A lively photo shoot filled with music and laughter can be a fun way to say goodbye to single life as part of your hen party (bring your own champagne!).
And for an extra special gift to your husband-to-be, you can have a bridal boudoir photo shoot and give him a picture or an album he will never forget!
