How to Clean Yellowed Kitchen Tile
- 1). Determine why your kitchen tile is yellow. Mix a bit of ammonia and water in a small cup and apply it to the tile. Wait a few moments and attempt to wipe it up. If it comes clean, then your tile has yellowed due to waxy buildup. If it does not, then it is probably heat damage.
- 2). Sweep and mop your floor to remove any dirt or debris.
- 3). Mix one cup cream of tartar with one gallon of white vinegar in a bucket.
- 4). Scrub the cream of tartar and vinegar mixture into the floor in circular motions.
- 5). Rinse the floor with hot water. Mop and dry your floor when finished.
