How to Set Up a Logitech USB Desktop Microphone
- 1). Plug the Logitech USB Desktop Microphone into an available USB port on your computer.
- 2). Press the power button, located on the base of the microphone. The button illuminates when on. Windows 7 will automatically recognize and install all necessary drivers.
- 3). Position your microphone close to your mouth, or another audio source.
- 4). Right-click the speaker icon in the notification area of your Windows 7 taskbar and select "Recording devices."
- 5). Right-click the microphone labeled "USB Audio Device" from the device list and click "Properties."
- 6). Click the "Level" tab in the Microphone Properties window.
- 7). Slide the slider to the right to increase sensitivity, or to the left to decrease sensitivity. You may need to experiment to obtain optimal results.
- 8). Click "OK" in the Microphone Properties window and "OK" in the Sound window to accept the new settings and complete setup.
