Cheap Airlines Are Not As Bad As You Think
Most people come to find out though that the first time they fly on one of these discount airlines that their previous misconceptions were quite wrong.
Before making any generalizations about these cheap airlines here are some things you may not know about them.
The only thing cheap about a no frills airline are the ticket prices.
The "cheap" moniker has nothing to do with the level of customer service or even the status of the planes they fly.
The pilots and planes must meet all federal regulations and the safety standards are the same as those of the more expensive airlines.
Flight attendants have the same training and service oriented approach as their co-parts at the major airlines and in fact they usually are much friendlier and take care of their passengers better.
They are given this extra incentive because they know that a happy customer is likely to stay a customer and will pass along their great flying experience to friends and co-workers.
You will also find the cabin arrangement to be much the same between a cheap airline and a more mainstream carrier.
The seats are the same size with many of the discount carriers opting for more leg room and comfier seats to keep their customers happy.
Of course tall and/or big people may not be as comfortable, but this is a general problem through out the airline industry.
For the most part though nearly everyone will find their seating comfortable on even the longest flights and the overhead storage space is not different then any other airline.
The beverage and snack service on a cheap airline is much the same as on other airlines and in some cases may be better.
One thing you will not find on a discount carrier is a meal service, but they also will make your flight as comfortable as any other flight.
Many times the no frills carrier will offer a better beverage service even going as far as leaving the entire can of soda with their passengers.
Most large airlines spread out one can of soda over two or three passengers.
If your idea of air travel is simply getting from point A to point B then seriously check into the many cheap airlines that have been in business for many years.
Many of these air carriers have high customer satisfaction because they are very good at what they do; namely getting their passengers and luggage to their destinations on time and together.
