About the Special Requirements Form for Carnival Cruise Ships
- Carnival requests information about the wheelchair or mobility scooter you would like to bring on the ship. Specifically, you need to provide information about the type of wheelchair or mobility scooter, including specific dimensions of the device. Carnival has made modifications to many of the areas on the ship to ensure that they are wheelchair accessible and will also provide you with a diagram of accessible routes and emergency exit routes. Accessible seating is available in the ship's restaurants, and accessible staterooms are available on many of Carnival's ships.
- Carnival also requests information about any oxygen tanks or machines you need to bring on board. You cannot pack any oxygen tanks or cylinders in your luggage or put them through security machines. It is, therefore, imperative that Carnival is aware of any oxygen requirements prior to your arrival and that arrangements are made for proper delivery of oxygen to the ship. Carnival Cruise Ships do have medical centers with oxygen. However, limited quantities of oxygen are available in these centers for emergency use only.
- Injectable medication is allowed on Carnival Cruises. However, Carnival requests information about injectable medication and asks that you notify housekeeping or the medical center about proper disposal of needles. In addition, the mini-bars in the staterooms are designed to maintain the temperature of beverages. If you have medication that requires proper refrigeration, most Carnival Cruise ships have a refrigerator available 24 hours per day.
- Carnival Cruise Lines permits service/working animals on board. These animals are trained to meet a specific disability need. Ports of call have specific requirements for entry of all animals, including service animals. It is, therefore, important that you list all service animals on the special requirements entry form, so you can be prepared with all required documentation for each port of call prior to your cruise. Carnival does not allow any pets, therapy/companion animals, or service animals in training on its ships.
- Carnival Cruise Line also requests information about any other special needs that you may have. Carnival is able to accommodate special dietary needs, including: vegetarian, low cholesterol, low fat, low carbohydrate, low sugar, gluten free, Indian and Kosher. In addition, Carnival would like information about any food allergies you have. Self dialysis is permitted on all ships. However, Carnival requests information about dialysis equipment you need to bring on the ship. Carnival also can accommodate deaf and hearing-impaired guests with TTY/TDD kits in staterooms.
