New Horror/Suspense Releases in Theaters and on DVD: Week of June 21, 2009
This week, the thriller Surveillance opens in limited release, while DVDs are headed by Backwoods and Hobgoblins.
David Lynch produced this tale, directed by his daughter Jennifer, of two federal officers who listen to three sets of stories from three would-be victims -- a zealous cop, a strung out junkie and an eight-year-old girl -- to figure out who committed a string of vicious murders.

Can you intentially make a bad movie and have it turn into a cult hit? That's what Rick Sloane attempts to do with Hobgoblins 2, the 2008 sequel to the legit cult film Hobgoblins, which seeks to recreate the awfulness of the original, from the special effects to the puppetry to even the '80s clothing.
