Hello I'm Isaac Rodriguez, a business consultant. I want to talk to you about what insurance is needed to operate a small business. The insurance that you need to operate a small business really depends upon the type of business that it is that you're operating. One of the things that every business needs is workmen's compensation insurance. Workmen's comp, whether your business is in manufacturing, contracting, selling, you have employees, you need this insurance. If you own property or to protect your property and protect you, you may want to have property and casualty insurance and then to protect yourself against any potential liabilities, there are numerous types of policies that will protect you from the various liabilities that could happen of say someone tripping in your store or if you're manufacturing food and someone eats your food and gets sick, product liability is an example, but please consult your insurance professional regarding the types of insurances that you need for your specific business. These are some of the examples that every business will need at some point, maybe not right away or maybe right away. Certainly workmen's compensation insurance if you have employees.
