Hen Ideas
So the BIG DAY is creeping up..
..
it might be your big day, one of your good girl pal's or perhaps your baby sister's..
..
either way someone is in need of an extra-special party for that last burst of freedom they'll get before tying the knot and taking on the continuous responsibilities of married life.
But, the question is...
what are you going to do for this special event? You need some Hen Ideas! If you're organising the Hen-do, the first thing you need to take into consideration is the BUDGET.
How much can everyone afford? Has the credit crunch taken its toll or are you all stinking rich nevertheless? In order to process some hen ideas and pick the right one, you need to know how many people are being invited and how much they can afford to pay..
..
If the budget is low, then going abroad is more-than-likely out of the question.
Rather than keeping it in your boring local town, however, why not rent a cottage in the countryside? It can be really cheap if you all chip in - and can be loads of fun! Take all your own booze, pampering equipment for relaxation during the day, decorations for the cottage and costumes for the costume party you're gonna have! (Because you have to dress up!) An Anne summers Party would be ideal for this occasion, or why not try an ERA theme costume party...
like the 30s, 50s, 60s or 80s! Its loads of fun dressing up like from these eras as I'm sure you would have done at some stage, you can make it sexy too, and it makes a change from the token 'L' Plates or Devil costumes that most Hens choose for their Hen-Do.
If the budget is higher, then why not cram a bit of action into the equation..
..
There are loads of brilliant outdoor activities like paintball, abseiling, rafting, kayaking and watersports that are such a laugh to do with a group of your favourite gal-pals, and are something that you'd never do with them on any other usual occasion.
They're also great for bonding different social groups.
If you're not so adventurous and looking hen ideas, why not get pampered professionally at an all-day spa...
with mud baths, a steam room, massages, swimming...
everything to give you pure relaxation before a crazy night of drinking and dancing, dressed like Cindi Lauper or Cher! Another popular Hen night idea, as you may know, is taking a pole dancing class.
This is really fun! And it gets all the girls in the mood for a boogey on the dance floor later! For the more sophisticated, a Salsa or Jive class can be a great way to spend an evening with your best buddies.
Combine this with cocktails and a posh-frock theme, and you have yourself a more elegant and perhaps more special Hen night.
