    Mount Olympus

    • Mount Olympus is the highest mountain in the Olympic Mountains and is within Olympic National Park. Mount Olympus stands at 7,969 feet (2,429 meters) and is part of the Central Olympic Mountains. Mount Olympus is considered one of the most difficult mountains to climb in the United States because of its rocky terrain and many expansive glaciers, including Blue, Hoh, Humes, White and Jeffers. Aside from its principal peak, Mount Olympus also has three slightly lower sub-peaks, including Mount Olympus Middle Peak, Mount Olympus False Summit and Mount Olympus East Peak.

    Mount Deception

    • At 7,788 feet (2,374 meters), Mount Deception is the second highest mountain in the Olympic Mountain Range, and the highest on the eastern side of the Olympics. Also situated within Olympic National Park, Mount Deception is 22 miles from Mount Olympus. Mount Deception was originally named Mount Holmes.

    Mount Constance

    • Mount Constance's southern summit is only the Olympic Mountains' third highest peak at 7,756 feet (2,364 meters), but is the most visible from western Seattle. Mount Constance receives much less rain than Mount Olympus and Mount Deception and also has fewer glaciers and less permanent snow cover, making it an easier peak to climb. Mount Constance is situated between Olympic National Park and the Buckhorn Wilderness.

    Other Peaks

    • At 7,680 feet (2,341 meters), Mount Johnson is the fourth highest peak in the Olympic Mountains. Inner Constance, at 7,667 feet (2,337 meters), is the fifth highest peak in the Olympic Mountains, Mount Mystery at 7,369 feet (2,328 meters) is the sixth highest peak, Martin Peak at 7,638 feet (2,328 meters) is the seventh highest peak, Mount Clark at 7,528 feet (2,295 meters) is the eighth highest, the Pyramid is the ninth highest at 7,520 feet (2,292 meters), and Gilhooley Tower is the 10th highest at 7,480 feet (2,280 meters).
