How to Relocate Carpenter Bees
- 1). Make an appointment with a professional bee specialist or technician, who will come out to your home and relocate the bees. Bee specialists are listed in your local phone book.
- 2). Move all objects away from the nesting site such as lawn ornaments, play equipment and bicycles.
- 3). Catch the bees that are flying around you with a butterfly net to avoid being stung while you move any object that's in the bee technician's way.
- 4). Place the captured bees in a glass jar with holes poked through the lid for air. If it will be more than a few hours before the bee tech can reach your home, consider putting a food source in the jar to keep the bees alive. Food sources include pollen and nectar, so a few fresh flowers should be fine.
