More Powerful Earthquakes Rock Christchurch
Many of my friends and loved ones still living in Christchurch are in complete shock after it seemed that for the last few months the tremors were beginning to die down. Some areas were in the process of being rebuilt and there was a general air of optimism and hope for the future. Now, just two days before Christmas, that's all gone. Even one of my very stoic friends who hadn't allowed it to get her down was very shaken up when I spoke to her last night.
As my psychic, Connie H Deutsch, predicted in February after the devastating earthquake that took 181 lives, there would be a series of earthquakes and each time the infrastructure would be seriously weakened. There would be periods of calm in between where people would attempt to get back to normal and then suddenly there will be another earthquake. I wish I could say otherwise, but this is not the end of the quakes and for those of you that can leave the city or even just drive several hours north, you will be safer.
Lianne Dalziel, Labour's Earthquake Recovery spokesperson and Christchurch East MP said:
"The devastation the liquefaction has produced in Parklands - which has been green-zoned - is worse than it is in Bexley, which is red-zoned. There is even more flooding and silt than there was following the June earthquake,"
Connie H Deutsch commented:
"I don't know how many red stickers will be on doors this time, but this will be a series of quakes as I said, and this is now the third one.
Don't depend on the government paying for houses like they did the last time. Eventually that money will run out and all you'll have left is a damaged house or no house.
The quakes may die down again for a while, and once again there will be the calm before the storm and everyone will say nothing is happening, and we're strong people we'll pull through.
But natural disasters cannot be averted because you're strong. And it's better to leave your property than to stay and to have to test your inner strength and physical strength to survive."
