How To Save Money On Quartz Worktops
Quartz Worktops are fast becoming a more popular choice
With people these days, there is no denying that Granite is great looking etc, but for some people who are a little lazy regarding how they look after there solid tops, then quartz must be the answer. Why? Because it does not stain. As a man made work surface quartz was developed to overcome granites short comings, ring marks from wine and other drink with acid in the drink. Curry is another, so if you are a bit messy, tend to leave glasses out, and the odd bit of curry sauce on the worktops, then Quartz would be your better purchase in the long run. Also, quartz tends not to suffer from thermal shock. I have seen granite do this
Also granite with being stone is very brittle, were as quartz as worktops is more forgiving so in my view if looking for practicality then Quartz Worktops is what I would recommend for you. Also, I find a lot people like the colours choices you can get. After all, nature does not create black with mirror chips dropped into it, so the designers mind can run riot. There are also new surfaces that are made out of re-cycled glass too. How fantastic! With granite worktops you will find that the markings/patterns, can sometimes not be consistent. After all, granite is from the ground and natural were as with quartz you get a predictable patterns and colours as it's a man made product.
There are companies that use the same production machinery which is very high quality called Breton. Here is a link to their page click here. The companies that use Breton to the best of my knowledge are Silestone, Cimstone Compaq uni-stone Caesar stone and Apollo stone.
These companies will be in the higher end of pricing as to install a full Breton line like the one I visited at the cimstone factory in Turkey costs approx 2 million euros.
I have noticed other companies start to offer more competitive prices like lunastone. However there product is made in China. I am not saying Chinese is bad, but more problems come from there and typically a supplier who imports his own containers will also be providing the guarantee on the worktops, so if he is a one man importer operation abd he goes bankrupt you will loose your guarantee so chose carefully and choose wisely.
Thanks for reading good luck with your project.
