Drug Testing Kits and their Purposes
When you start to plan for a drug test you should first learn about the drug testing kits available for the simple and home drug testing. There are both advantages and disadvantages in the drug testing kits we use at our home. So it is necessary to select the right testing kit for your home test.
Urine drug tests
This is one of the most commonly used drug testing kit to know the presence and absence of any particular drug. When the result turns to be positive it means that the donor would have used the drug at time before and it is not necessary that it should have been taken in at that particular time. In this type of test you can test upto ten drugs at a time.
The three types of urine drug tests are dip form, cassette form and cup form. In the dip method the test must be dipped inside the sample. In the cassette form the sample is made to transfer from a cup into another testing device through a pipette. In the cup the sample is collected and tested simultaneously.
Saliva drug tests
The saliva drug tests are done by testing the saliva with an appropriate testing kit. When this test is done we can easily find the traces of the drugs from the saliva samples we collect and it is necessary that this has to be done under proper supervision. The only disadvantage in this test is that you can find the traces of the drugs only used at that time but not about the ones used previously. But still this is the most preferred type of drug test because they are non-invasive and is easy to conduct and you can test upto six types of drugs using this method.
Hair drug tests
The hair drug testing method is one of the most reliable testing methods because the hair is capable of storing the drugs for a longer time than any other samples. From this type of sample we can learn the history of drug usage for over a long period of time i.e. may be upto 90 days.
Spray drug tests
This type of drug test is very easy and simple to do. It is a difficult type of test to conduct but at the same time its result is very reliable. However we can test only some few types of drugs using this type of test.
