How to Promote Your Paintings For Sale

103 15
Being an Artist, especially a self taught artist like myself can make you sometimes doubt your ability in ever getting your work sold.
However, the fact that you are self thought should not ever deter you from showcasing your art to the world.
Your Art is a unique expression of your inner ideas, made visible in your paintings.
Each one of us has that quality to express ourselves uniquely and because of this uniqueness, your Art will always most definitely have an audience who sees your work as interesting.
The goal here however is to become recognised enough so that people know that your work exists.
What better way to do that but to market yourself and your art - which is an extension of yourself.
You see people need to know more about a person - the artist - hence the need for building relationships with your potential audience instead of thinking only of making money from your paintings at the start.
Believe me the money will come but you must first let your audience know a little more about you and how and why you create those beautiful masterpieces.
This will help perk their interest and create a connection with you.
To create interest you can do some of the following things: - Build a website and showcase your paintings.
This ensures that your work has an online gallery if you have never showcased in a physical gallery.
It also enables you to think Globally - International - never limiting yourself to just your home country although a lot of your art can also be sold right at home too.
So purchase a domain and start building your website.
Add keywords and add your site to numerous search engines to let people know that your website exists.
- Another way of getting your art out there is to go to galleries and enquire whether they would be interested in showcasing your work.
The most negative thing they can say is "NO" if they are not interested or do not need any new paintings.
However, do not let this deter you.
There are loads of galleries out there and one or tow or several are bound to say "YES".
Just keep on trying.
There are more really great ways of marketing, promoting, advertising your art.
