How to Remove a Truck Box Liner
- 1). Open the tailgate on the truck using the tailgate handle. Unbolt or remove any of the screws holding the truck box liner to the tailgate with the Phillips screwdriver or the 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. The number and type of fasteners holding the liner to the bed and the tailgate will vary by make and model of truck. Lift the liner off the tailgate.
- 2). Look inside the truck box liner. Try to find any bolts or screws holding the liner in place. Remove any fasteners with the Phillips screwdriver or a 3/8-inch ratchet and socket. Most bed liners aren't held in place by anything, so there may not be any bolts present.
- 3). Position your assistant on one side of the bed, and you on the other. Lift the truck box liner simultaneously on both sides, then push the sides of the liner toward the middle of the bed. Walk the truck box liner out toward the tailgate, then set the liner down behind the truck.
