How to Sync Word With Your iPhone
- 1). Download Missing Sync software. This is desktop software that is available for Windows and Mac computers. It allows you to sync crucial data from your iPhone, such as your text messages, music and contact list, and enables you to copy documents from your computer onto your iPhone. Using the software and the Fliq iPhone apps, you can then open and edit Word documents using your iPhone before syncing them back to your computer again. Missing Sync costs $39.95 as of July 2011.
- 2). Download the Documents to Go app from the iTunes app store. This app allows you to create, edit and view Word files, as well as those from other Microsoft Office programs, on your iPhone. In addition to being able to open password protected Word files, you can format text, add bullet points or numbers and use the find and replace feature. You have to register on the company's website to use Glide and the first 30GB of storage are free. After that, you will have to $4.95 per month or $49.95 per year to access up to 250GB (prices correct as of July 2011).
