Using your favorite cupcake and frosting recipe, make your cupcakes. Vanilla cupcakes are always nice, as are pumpkin cupcakes for a seasonal Halloween cupcake treat.

And if you use paper cupcake tin liners that are decorated with a Halloween design, such as pumpkins or spooky ghosts (such as the one shown here), you'll add an extra touch of Halloween fun to your cupcakes.

Hint: When choosing your icing, think about the contrast you will need later to create a spiderweb design on your cupcakes.

If you are using a white frosting, you will want a chocolate or dark-colored frosting for your web. If you are using dark frosting, such as chocolate, you will want a light-colored frosting for your pastry bag to decorate the spiderwebs.
