How to Make Dinosaur Paper Bag Puppets for Kids

    • 1). Use a pair of scissors and green construction paper to cut out an egg-shaped face that is the same size as the bottom fold of the paper bag. Cut out a body shape for the dinosaur that is the length of the paper bag. Cut out a tail using green construction paper. Set cutouts aside.

    • 2). Use crayons and markers to to draw nostrils on the face piece and scales on the body piece.

    • 3). Set the paper bag on your work surface with the bottom closed and folded.

    • 4). Apply a small amount of glue to the back of the dinosaur head. Place the top of the dinosaur head onto the bottom of the paper bag. Ensure the bottom of the head faces toward where the bottom of the bag folds over.

    • 5). Apply a small amount of glue to the back of the body cutout. Glue the body below the bottom flap of the paper bag. Do not glue the bottom flap down to the body of the paper bag. Turn the bag over and apply a small amount of glue to the tip of the tail and apply it to the back of the paper bag.

    • 6). Apply two wiggly eyes to the dinosaur's face with a dab of glue.

    • 7). Cut out a tongue using the red felt. Glue the tongue under the bottom flap of the paper bag directly under where the mouth will lift up.

    • 8). Let glued pieces dry for at least an hour.

    • 9). Place hand into the paper bag and your fingers into the flap of the bottom. Use the paper bag just like a regular puppet.
