Jan is never alone because there are always ghost dogs hanging around.
About a year ago I wrote to tell you my experience with my ghost dog. My dog named Gynis has been dead for about 15 years. I moved into a townhouse and Gynis was never here.
One night I was wide awake and I saw her lying on my bed like she used to do. Of course, I thought I was crazy, but I had seen a few other dogs that day I could not recognize. It's been about two years now and every night I can feel her sniffing me, jumping on the bed, on and off, and hear her dog tags cling together.
The best is when she lies next to my back. I can feel the heat of her body; her body moves up and down when she is breathing. I also feel her snoot on my legs. There were only about two times she didn't show up. Otherwise, faithfully every night.
I told my family about this and they thought I was losing it until my sister had her dog visit her. Her dog does not come very often, but many times there is more than one dog with me. I'm not scared anymore because I feel she is protecting me. I do admit sometimes I say to myself, "I must be nuts living with dead dogs in my bed." Has anyone else ever had this experience?
