How to Burn an IFO File to a DVD
- 1). Open the "My Computer" window by clicking the "Start" button in the lower-left corner of the Windows desktop and then clicking the "My Computer" menu item.
- 2). Use the "My Computer" window to navigate to the IFO, or InFOrmation, file you want to record to a DVD. This is usually found with the video media file that it is associated with.
- 3). Click and drag the IFO file towards the left pane in the "My Computer" window.
- 4). Hold the left mouse button down until the IFO file is above the DVD recorder drive listed in the left pane, and then release the button. This is a simple "drag and drop" operation.
- 5). Double-click the DVD drive listed in the left pane of the "My Computer" window. This will change the right pane of the window to display a listing of files waiting to be burnt. The IFO file should be listed there.
- 6). Insert a recordable DVD into your computer's DVD drive.
- 7). Locate the "Burn to Disc" button at the top of the window and click it.
- 8). Enter a label for the DVD in the dialog box that appears, and click the "Next" button. This will begin the DVD burning procedure. A progress bar will appear and notify you when the IFO file has finished being recorded on the DVD.
