Raw Summit Excerpt with Shazzie, a raw chocolate revolutionary, author and entrepreneur and mother.
Kevin:Hi everyone, this is Kevin Gianni, and I'd like to welcome you to a very special Raw Summit Teleseminar.
Tonight, we're going to talk about ecstatic bliss.
So, that line up is just incredible.
So, Shazzie I want to welcome you to the Raw Summit.
Shazzie: Hello, bless you and thank you.
Kevin: Wow!So, there's so much to cover here.
What do you want to cover first? Shazzie:Let me talk to you about ecstatic bliss.
Kevin: Oh, absolutely.
Shazzie: Because it really is the beginning of something so new and something so big, I'm writing a book with my friend Kate Magic, she is formerly known as Kate Wood and she has written some raw food books, and she is an absolute magician in the kitchen.
We made a commitment at the beginning of 2007 to live permanently in ecstatic bliss and we have a life-based site where we're trying to get 144,000 signatures of people living in ecstatic bliss.
I believe it's possible.
I think we're designed to live in bliss.
It's what yoga does.
It's what raw food does.
It's what super food does.
And all those teachings - well, the ancient teachings actually lead to the point of getting into those elevated states is to be in bliss.
And there's an awful law in our culture that stops with staying blissful.
We have the medium and we have jobs that are not fulfilling and we have families that we haven't detoxed and we have junk food.
We have all those different layers and layers and layers of rubbish that once we've cleared it away, we're left with almost a blank board.
At that point, we put the things we want on this board.
When you get to a certain point you make that commitment and you suddenly start living in ecstatic bliss.
Kevin: Wow! Shazzie: So, we're writing a book on these things that have made us live in ecstatic bliss.
The book is called Ecstatic Beings, and it's about being every single part of you and not denying any single part of you.
I think this the interesting thing is that a lot of people are still into denial even when they've been into raw foods for a long time because they haven't uncovered the suppressed parts of them and things like religion, culture, and things that were actually taught are real and not peeled away.
Raw foods don't always peel those away because they're so deeply ingrained in people.
For example, controversial subjects that were covered in the book include monogamy, urine therapy, suspension, and all these other things; they're being naked in public.
All these are things that some people might think are going to thaw.
Kevin: Right.
Shazzie: From our perspective, they are things that absolutely need to be discussed because then you strip bare, all our preconceptions - all you are left with is a person stripped bare.
Then you have to build yourself up based on reality not on cultural suppression.
Kevin: Wow! Shazzie: That's Ecstatic Beings and it's such fun to write.
It's such fun! Kevin: What does ecstatic bliss mean to you? Shazzie: You know what?It can mean so many things.
It's like that state when you have nocked out your brain in a repetitive negative loop.
Because we all have it, don't we?It's like a broken record, and it only takes one thing to make you feel like that.
You can have a thousand great things happen and you don't get a repetitive positive loop from those things, but one negative thing can just throw you in there.
You have these emotional holes and you have to stitch them.
Once you've stitched them, you can't get into those negative repetitive loops.
You are in bliss because nothing touches you.
It doesn't matter what people say about you.
It doesn't matter if people think you are being too controversial and It's like you're living your truth and you're being the all, the bliss, and the love that you see in the world and expressing yourself fully.
You can't help but be blissful.
You can count your blessings every single second of the day.
I've got the most beautiful daughter on the planet.
She is just the most amazing thing in the world.
I've got the best friends.
I've got the most amazing family.
I'm just the luckiest person alive, I think.
I think everyone else is too.
Its just they need to find those things inside them, and when they do and they think about them all the time and they just positively program themselves constantly, then they can't get into a negative space.
That is when the point tips, and certainly, you're just in bliss and every time you just go and like, "Oh my god, I'm so lucky.
" Kevin: Wow!Some people might say that if you're focusing on yourself all the time, that's selfish.
What do you think about that? Shazzie: I will spend 98% of my time totally chasing, so it's not about selfishness.
But it isn't because what focusing on yourself does is being the change, you know the great Gandhiline is be the change you wish to see in the world.
And if you are not focusing on yourself, then you're not being the change and you're not going to see that in the world because the ego is just a reflection of that's around us.
Kevin: How can I live in ecstatic bliss? What do I need to do? Shazzie: Come and play with us for a bit.
Kevin: Yes.
What's some of the protocol? What do you in the morning? What do you do in the evening? Shazzie: I measure my ecstatic bliss out in drops and ounces and cups.
You know what I actually do is I put my favorite music on.
If I'm in the bathtub, I will put an mp3 on of a success speaker or I'll put just like some of my favorite music on.
I start my day in a positive frame of mind.
I have pretty much no schedule because what I did was I made the intention that was going to be full time mom because that's the most important thing to me.
So everyone else that runs my business runs it really amazing.
They're absolutely brilliant at their job and I do my job when Evie's asleep.
So I spend the day playing with Evie.
We go shopping, we go to the beach, we go to the park, we do a lot of all good stuffs.
You know we probably do about two hours of yoga a day all in all and I think that really helps with a lot.
And we do a lot of touch, we do a lot of play and she is still breastfed, so there's a lot of intimacy with her.
I accept 98% of my time is actually with Evie.
I make food with her.
I sit around the counter while I make food so she eats all the food that is being made and she helps chop it up - she helps to make a really good mess.
Kevin: Yes, of course.
Shazzie: She is really great at creating and she is really into drawing at the moment, so I'll sit and draw with her and every now and again I'll watch Barbara Pepper on the YouTube.
And that's really our life and then we'll all go to the park and then we'll play with other children and I'll hang out with my friends while the kids are playing and it's really, really beautiful.
And we'll sit there with our laptops while the kids are playing and it's like the newness thing, you know like women like used to sit around and knit, now they sit around with their laptops while kids play.
It's just all absolutely perfect.
