  Lake Fork is a premier trophy bass fishing lake in Texas near the towns of Sulphur Springs and Alba. The lake serves as a reservoir for the towns, and also for several suburbs in Dallas. It covers 27,000 acres and was established in the 1970s by Texas Parks and Wildlife. Lake Fork has more than 300 acres of shoreline and tourists to the area can enjoy fishing for a variety of fish species including bass, catfish, black crappie, white crappie and sunfish. Limits have been placed on the size of bass fish allowed to be kept, to help preserve the fisheries. Fishermen and visitors to Lake Fork can choose from a large selection of lodging options, including hotels and resorts, many located right on the lake itself.

• The Lake Fork Lodge is located right on the waterfront of Lake Fork. Guests can choose from a variety of rooms at the lodge, all featuring cable television, alarm clocks and double or king-size beds. Resort amenities include a private boat ramp, a game room, barbecue grills, guided fishing excursions, covered boat slips, a large outdoor hot-tub, a lakeside fire-pit, meeting rooms, a covered fishing pier and complimentary breakfast each morning. • The Lake Fork Marina and Motel can be found right on the banks of Lake Fork in Alba and is a full-service fishing resort. Guests can choose from a variety of rooms and suites at the motel all including two queen beds, large showers, cable television and mini-refrigerators. In addition, suites also feature a separate living area, a fully-equipped kitchen, separate bedrooms and two bathrooms. Amenities include guided fishing tours, a fully stocked bait store, a marina with boat rentals, an on-site restaurant and a marina store. • The Mustang Resort is located in East Texas on the shores of Lake Fork in the town of Alba. The resort sits on 40 acres all surrounded by water. Guests can choose from 10 different units in the motel, all decorated with rustic cedar and featuring two full-size beds, cable television, mini-refrigerators, alarm clocks and coffeemakers. A campground is also available with RV hookups and tent-sites. Amenities include a boat ramp and a full-service store complete with tackle, snacks, drinks, ice and fuel.
