How to Find Stored Passwords on a Mac

    • 1). Double-click the icon for the Keychain Access utility. Keychain Access is located in the Utilities folder, which is stored inside your Applications folder.

    • 2). Select a keychain from the list on the left side of the window. A keychain is a group of passwords.

    • 3). Double-click an entry in the list of keychain items on the right side of the window. If you don't see the entry you need, you can also search for it by typing in its name in the search field at the top of the window. A small window with the details about the item opens.

    • 4). Click on the check box next to "Show password" at the bottom left of the small window.

    • 5). Type in your Mac log-in password when requested and click the "Allow" button. The password displays in clear text.
