How to Remove a System 32 DLL
- 1). Click on the "Start" menu in the lower left corner of your desktop.
- 2). Click on "Run." If your version of Windows does not show "Run" in the "Start" menu, look for it in the "Accessories" folder or simply hold down the Windows key and press "R" to launch the "Run" dialog window.
- 3). Type "cmd" (without the quotation marks) into the open box and click "OK." The command prompt window will open.
- 4). Type "regsvr32 /u system32.dll" (without the quotation marks) into the command prompt window and press "Enter." A confirmation message will be displayed letting you know that you have successfully removed the DLL file.
- 5). Restart your computer.
