Front Sight A Fighter For Second Amendment Rights

102 33
Front Sight Firearms Training Institute is the nation's largest gun training school. Front Sight trains more students annually than all other major shooting schools in the nation combined. With a pedigree like that, it is obvious why Front Sight should be such a strong advocate for Second Amendment rights. A firearms training school would not get far if firearms were prohibited by the government. Considering that the U.S. Supreme Court has taken for consideration a case which many are calling the most significant case concerning the Second Amendment in seventy years, it is clear why Front Sight is paying very close attention.

The founder and director of Front Sight is Ignatius Piazza, a former California chiropractor who holds one of the most illustrious, difficult-to-attain certifications in the firearms training industry - the Four Weapons Combat Master. The Four Weapons Combat Master is a trademarked title which means that an individual has surpassed all expert levels of gun handling and gun training. At the time of his success, only one other person had successfully passed the test, despite being published and available for ten years. Since then, ten years ago, only four other men have successfully passed. Ignatius Piazza is what one would call a gun training guru. Being the founder and director of Front Sight, and having this pedigree, he too is quite interested in the U.S. Supreme Court's case and the Second Amendment ramifications it has.

Men like Ignatius Piazza and institutions like Front Sight are obviously staunch supporters of the Second Amendment, and give them the time, and they'll tell you why it's one of the most important rights any American has. The most obvious of reasons is that it's number two! Ignatius Piazza and other supporters of the Second Amendment feel that pointing out how quick the Framers were to put it in the Bill of Rights shows how important it is. Would the Framers put the right to bear arms immediately behind the right to speech and press if they didn't consider it just as vital to freedom, justice and liberty?

In addition to its placement showing its independent importance, Ignatius Piazza and Front Sight contend that the placement of the Second Amendment also has significance for studiers of the Constitution. Where did the Framers place the right to bear arms? Immediately after the right to speech and press. In looking at Pakistan, Iran or China today, one sees that one of the first rights a suppressive government goes for first is the right to speech and press. Silencing the press and the media is easy -- unless they're armed. According to Ignatius Piazza, the Second Amendment is placed where it is because it's the only thing that will keep the First Amendment in place.

The U.S. Supreme Court is reaching a tremendously significant decision. Front Sight and Ignatius Piazza encourage all of America to realize that the ramifications their decision could have on the Second Amendment and the right for Americans to receive firearms training and gun training which could keep their loved ones safe are immense. Firearms training means safety, but without the Second Amendment, it can't be, and neither can America.
