How to Wire a Refrigerator Ice Maker
- 1). Disconnect your refrigerator's power cord from the electrical outlet.
- 2). Locate the removable panel on the inside of your freezer.
- 3). Use your screwdriver to turn the bolts retaining the ice maker installation panel inside of your freezer, and locate the ice maker wiring harness behind it.
- 4). Hook the ice maker wiring harness, from behind the ice maker installation panel, to the ice maker via its female wiring harness.
- 5). Mount the ice maker to the side of your freezer by reinstalling the ice maker installation panel retention screws through the mounting bolt holes on the ice making unit and into their original bolt holes.
