When is the last time you had a sauna? Was it in your own home? Was it at the gym? Was it at a club? When, where and why did you sauna? Naturist Sauna Certainly if you are lucky or clever enough to have your own sauna in your bathroom or close to it, you are able to have a sauna in the nude as a naturist either by yourself or with family members.
It is also possible, if your sauna is large enough, to include close friends who enjoy it as well.
Whether or not you continue the naturist form is a matter of choice, obviously.
Freedom There certainly is a wonderful feeling of freedom to be without any clothes.
It depends on one's early family life to some extent.
I feel very fortunate to have grown up in a family of five where we had little money and certainly few extravagances.
We had one bathroom which contained the bathtub, basin and toilet.
Sunday morning (dad was a clergyman) was a very busy time for the bathroom and certainly false modesty had no place in our home.
Growing up with no stigma attached to the naked body and nothing more than normal curiosity of growing up was a great way to have lived.
I look back now and feel very fortunate that I had the upbringing that I did.
Advantages Not being an expert but merely a layman in this whole area I can only express my personal feelings and reactions.
I make no attempt to preach or convert.
It just seems to me that it is worthwhile having a discussion about some things and today I feel like talking about being, at times, a naturist.
It is possible to approach this whole topic from a variety of directions.
So let's examine, as an amateur, a few ideas about the naturist possibilities.
Spiritual Certainly one has to admit that nature is an extraordinary place.
To shed one's clothes and wander in nature feeling the air, the perfume of the woods, the feel of the things that you touch and that touch you can be the most moving and loving experience.
It can produce what can only be described as a spiritual experience.
Somehow not having clothes on and being in some way at one with nature is very warm and beautiful.
This can make you stop and wonder at how messed up we get worrying about covering our bodies and all the things that are involved in our society regarding what should really be natural.
Health Naturists think that it is a very healthy thing to shed one's clothes in appropriate situations.
I will not make any attempt to talk about germs and things that clothes can carry.
Also I won't do anything more than say that it certainly feels great to exercise free from clothes.
Sauna I think my favorite time of nudity is in the sauna.
I do enjoy being able to have a good solid sauna session without anything but me and the sweat.
Somehow not having any clothes on at all makes me feel that I get much cleaner because I can just wash away all the dirt, germs etc that the sauna brings out.
When having to sauna either wrapped in a towel or in a bathing suit it just isn't as satisfying and complete for me.
Conclusion There is no way I am advocating nudity in any way other than a natural way and when it is comfortable and pleasing.
