How to Make a Wooden Wall-Mounted Pot Rack
- 1). Apply a clear wood finish to the walnut boards. Allow the finish to dry. These are the side frame boards for the wooden pot rack.
- 2). Place the walnut boards parallel to each other on a work surface with the 4-inch face flat against the surface. Insert the "C" channels over the 3/4-by-4-inch ends of the walnut boards. The "C" channels are the horizontal parts of the frame and provide an accent for the dark rich color of the walnut. The walnut boards should fit into the channel, while the outside edges of the boards should be flush with the ends of the channel.
- 3). Drive two evenly spaced self-tapping screws through the outside edge of the channel, into the ends of the walnut boards, to fasten the pot rack frame together.
- 4). Drill a 1/8-inch hole through the center of the walnut board, 3 inches down from the top edge of the aluminum channel on both ends of the frame. These are the mounting holes.
- 5). Drill 1/4-inch holes through the top aluminum channel. Space the holes approximately every 4 inches from the inside edge of the walnut boards. Insert an "S" hook through each hole.
- 6). Hang several "S" hooks over the bottom channel. The hooks will lay over the inside front edge of the channel. Spread the hooks evenly across the channel.
