How to Copy Music From My iPod to a XP PC

    • 1). Connect your iPod to you computer via USB cable. Open the iTunes music player. Wait for the program to recognize your device. Click on the iPod's icon in the left panel of the program. Click the "Enable "Disk Use" option at the bottom of the new menu.

    • 2). Click the eject icon next to your iPod's icon. Unplug the device from the USB port in your computer. Re-insert the USB cable into the port.

    • 3). Click "Start" and then select "My Computer." Click the iPod disc drive that appears. Click "Tools" and then select "Folder Options." Click the "View" option and then select "Show Hidden Files."

    • 4). Open the iPod disc drive and open the "iPod_Control\Music" folder. This folder contains all audio files on the device. Songs will be organized by artist and album.

    • 5). Click and drag the audio files you want on your PC to a new folder on the hard drive. The files will automatically copy to the new folder.
