    • 3). Play the first fret of the fourth string (D string) with your forefinger. This is the note E flat, the flat third degree of the C Neapolitan scale.

    • 4). Using your ring finger, play the third fret of the fourth string. This is the note F, the fourth degree of the C Neapolitan scale.

    • 5). Play the third string (G string) open. "Open" refers to playing a string without holding down any frets. This is the note G, the fifth degree of the C Neapolitan scale.

    • 6). Using your middle finger, play the second fret of the third string (G string.) This is the note A, the sixth degree of the C Neapolitan scale.
