On this second week of 2004, we have a chart with no bulleted songs through the first 24 spots. I'd say this is most likely due to stations playing much more Christmas music lately. Kenny Chesney's "There Goes My Life" does remain at No. 1 for a third week, with Alan Jackson's "Remember When" at No. 2, Brooks & Dunn's "You Can't Take The Honky Tonk Out of the Girl" at No. 3, Rodney Atkins at No. 4 with "Honesty (Write Me a List)" and Toby Keith's "I Love This Bar" sitting at No.

5. Hard to say just what will be the next No. 1, but I'll make a guess with Alan Jackson's "Remember When" for next week.

There are a few songs that are showing some good upward movement. Pat Green's new song, "A Guy Like Me" moves up from No. 49 to No. 43. Also moving up 6 spots in their second week on the charts is Rascal Flatts with "Mayberry" which goes from No. 56 to No. 50. Keith Urban's "You'll Think of Me" moves up 4 spots to No. 25, and Kenny Chesney's Christmas song "All I Want For Christmas is a Real Good Tan" moves up 4 spots to No. 30, while Jimmy Wayne's "Paper Angels" also moves up 4 to No. 40.

New songs this week are all in the Christmas theme with "Pretty Paper" from Kenny Chesney and Willie Nelson, debuting at No. 45. Kenny also has "Silver Bells" "Silent Night," and "Thank God For Kids" debuting this week at No. 54, No. 57, and No. 60, respectively. Marty Stuart's Christmas song, "Even Santa Claus Gets The Blues" debuts at No. 54.

On the album side of things, Toby Keith remains at No.

1, with Shock'n Y'All with Alan Jackson's Greatest Hits, Vol II is at No. 2, and the Dixie Chicks Top of the World Live at No. 3, Shania Twain's Up at No. 4 and Martina McBride's Martina at No. 5.

There are no new albums this week.

NOTE: All chart rankings are based on the song or album's position on the Billboard Hot Country Singles Chart or Billboard Country Albums Chart for January 10, 2004.
