How to Wash Ostrich Feathers
- 1). Cut the bar soap into small pieces and place in a bowl of extremely hot water.
- 2). Help the soap dissolve in the water by agitating the bowl.
- 3). Beat the solution into a lather with a whisk.
- 4). Put the feathers into the hot, soapy, lathered-up water.
- 5). Rub the feathers with your hands for about five minutes.
- 6). Rinse them in hot, clean water.
- 7). Squeeze, do not twist or wring, the feathers until as much water is expelled as possible.
- 8). Shake the feathers until they are completely dry.
