How Do You Broil Ribeye Steaks?
- 1). Season the steak before broiling. Use any type of seasoning you enjoy, although a little salt and pepper is a good choice for a quality steak.
- 2). Preheat the oven. Turn the oven to broil and allow it to heat up for about 15 minutes. You want the oven to be hot enough so the steaks will cook nicely.
- 3). Place the steaks in the oven. Steaks should be in a broiling pan or a skillet. Place the oven rack in the second position, or 6 inches from the top, so the heat from the broiler spreads evenly.
- 4). Sear the steaks. Allow the steaks to sit under the broiler for three minutes. Flip the steak over and sear the other side for three minutes.
- 5). Finish cooking the steaks. Turn off the broiler and set the oven to 500 degrees. Cook according to your tastes. If you want the steaks well-done, you will have to cook them longer.
